Magic Tree House Series Book Review
After they ate too many marshmallows they drank too much lemonade from the lemonade fountain. And as if killer mermaids are not enough, there are sea monkeys. They help children learn listening and reading skills. The latest book in the Jack Reacher series, Past Tense, came out November 5th. First of all it has 13 stories complete with a bowling alley, shark tank, lemonade fountain, game room and a see through swimming pool.

It can be used to illustrate the fact that they are breaking the fourth wall as well. They even have a vegetable vaporizer that is a great way to eat your vegetables without having to taste them. Underpants in the penthouse and then take the elevator down to the basement and you will find Andy and Terry in their swanky treehouse. Here at Treehouse Utopia, you get the beauty of a national park, but in a private setting. All of the books in the series center around the time travel adventures of brother and sister Jack and Annie, who live in Frog Creek, Pennsylvania. A prologue at the beginning of each book provides the necessary background information. At the beginning of the book, there is a detailed illustration of the different areas of the treehouse. The Roman soldiers are much scarier in person—and suspicious of strangers.

That experience really has my student hooked on reading now! It starts out having 13 stories, and it gets taller with every book. There is a slight difference in the titles between the Australian and American versions. It all started one morning when I got up and went down to get some breakfast. There's also a companion series of nonfiction Fact Trackers, written by the author's husband and sister, Will Osborne and Natalie Pope Boyce, which delve deeper into the subjects addressed in some of the novels. A bit too meta for the audience, but not even in an interesting way. Wouldn't you love to be in that treehouse? The series tells kids that books are essential historical documents, to be saved and treasured.

I breezed through it in about a half an hour which made me feel like I accomplished something huge on an otherwise unproductive day, so brownie points there and had so much fun in the process.
